Ava Borngesser

Ava Borngesser is from Detroit, Michigan. She is a teacher, choreographer, and is currently pursuing a double major in dance and psychology at the University of Arizona.

Ava was classically trained in ballet since she was three years old but has had a great amount of experience in other styles such as contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, and partnering. While being mainly trained in ballet, Ava has a passion for teaching jazz and contemporary as well! She has choreographed contemporary small groups, as well as solos for YAGP and ADC IBC.

Ava has competed and placed in several ballet competitions including YAGP, YAGP finals, ADC IBC, and was awarded the Maestro Enrico Cecchetti Award at the Cecchetti International Ballet Competition. She also performed in the YAGP Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala in Genoa, Italy. Ava has attended several summer intensives including YAGP Nervi Festival in Genoa, Italy, Houston Ballet, and The Rock School for Dance Education.

She is so excited to work with the next generation of dancers and give them all the tools to succeed to their fullest potential!
