Preparatory Division
Ages 8 - 12

Level 1
Ages 8 - 10
Level 1 dancers continue building a strong technical foundation as they learn a complete basic ballet barre. As strength, stability, and coordination develop, students gradually progress from using two hands to one hand on the barre. Barre exercises, including jumps, are then applied to center work with an emphasis on maintaining proper turnout, alignment, and technique. Students are also introduced to spotting for turns and pirouettes while expanding their across-floor vocabulary with movements such as waltz turns, balancés, and other traveling combinations. This level encourages confidence, musicality, and continued technical growth.
Classes offered per week:
3 Ballet, 1 Jazz

Level 2
Ages 10 - 12
Level 2 dancers begin piecing together more complex technical steps into longer combinations, both at the barre and across the floor. Students are challenged to remember and perform sequences independently, including directional changes using détourné. This level introduces the difference between en dehors an endedans pirouettes, along with more advanced jumps such as sissonne and tour jeté. Emphasis is placed on coordinating arm and leg strength, musicality, and control, as dancers continue building the foundation needed for more advanced ballet training.
Classes offered per week:
4 Ballet, 1 Prep for Pointe/Conditioning, 1 Beginning Pointe(Invitation only),
1 Jazz, 1 Contemporary
