Spencer Waldeck

Spencer Waldeck is originally from Cleveland, Ohio where she began her training at City Ballet of Cleveland under the direction of Courtney Laves-Marini. In 2016, Spencer joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Full Time Program on scholarship and continued her training by joining PBT’s Graduate Program in 2018. During her time at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, she had the opportunity to perform in various company productions including George Balanchine’s Divertimento No. 15 and other classical productions such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, and Lew Christensen’s Beauty and the Beast.
In 2021, Spencer joined Grand Rapids Ballet as an apprentice. While at GRB, she performed in Val Caniparoli’s The Nutcracker, Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, Christopher Stowell’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and George Balanchine’s Serenade. Spencer entered Ballet Tucson in 2022 as an apprentice, joined the corps de ballet in 2023, and became a demi-soloist in 2024. In that time Spencer, performed featured roles as Tall Girl in Balanchine’s Rubies and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker as well as soloist roles in Balanchine’s Divertimento No. 15, Andi Schmeroly’s Swivet, Price Suddarth’s Borderlands, and Justin Peck’s Pulcinella Variations as well as In Creases. Spencer retired from her professional ballet career in 2025 and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in public health. She is excited to join the team at Sonoran Ballet Academy as front-desk receptionist!
